Genealogist of the Year
( 5 Articles )
Every year during the NSGS Annual Meeting and Conference, genealogists form Nebraska are recognized for their contribution to the genealogy community and their local genealogical society. 2009 presents the opportunity to do things a little bit differently. In early January, each genealogical society in the state will receive a letter from the president of the Nebraska State Genealogical Society asking them to nominate one person from their society to be recognized as Nebraska's Genealogist of the Year. Normally we offer "Certificates of Recognition" to every person whose name has been submitted. In 2009 the NSGS Board of Directors will select one individual from all the nominations received and that individual will be Nebraska's Genealogist of the Year. The Nebraska Genealogist of the Year will receive a plaque with their name engraved on it instead of a "Certificate of Recognition". The Nebraska Genealogist of the Year will also be invited to attend the 2009 conference at no charge....including their motel room! This below file is a digital copy of the form that has been send to all the genealogical societies in the state. Feel free to download, fill out and e-mail this digital copy. 2008 Nebraska Genealogist of the Year Nomination Form
